  • Motion reference: S6M-17240

That the Parliament commends 16-year-old Harry Mowat, who organised a 10k walk to raise money for Orkney-based mental health charity, Soma’s Light; understands that those taking part walked for approximately three hours from Burwick to St Margaret’s Hope on the island of South Ronaldsay; further understands that this walk was done in memory of young people in Orkney who have taken their own lives; recognises that the money raised will help Soma’s Light to continue its work in supporting youth mental health and bereavement services, and applauds the work of Harry, who played an inspiring and leading role in organising and promoting the event and brought the wider community together to support what it sees as a vitally important cause.
